Since the beta release announcement for the VirtualSite platform, we have received an overwhelming positive response from users. We have also received a number of great suggestions for future enhancements to the platform. In response to this, we have taken a few of these suggestions on board with recent updates to the platform. These recent enhancements include;

Easier overlay of Matterport scans on Google Maps with new drag and drop tools

The process of geo-locating your Matterport scans with Google Maps has been made even simpler using a new intuitive drag and drop interface. Drag and align your floor plan interactively with satellite or map view (see overlay Matterport scan on Google Maps using drag and drop to get started)

Other enhancements

  • Non-metric support for smart measure tools.
  • More options for your Matterport scans including renaming models and the ability enable/disable Google Maps.
  • Various bug fixes to make processing of scans faster and more reliable.
  • Better cross browser support.
